birthday present for woman
need some ideas that doesn't empty my wallet ($30)
women like sentimental things and also from what I can attest they like the little things more than the expensive things. I gave a gift to a girl recently and it was just a simple compass since she said she was going to be going hiking more often soon. The kicker however, was that I wrote a note to her and wrapped the compass in it. She liked the note and the fact that it was wrinkled more so than the gift. I got lucky on this though.
next example. for my recent friends birthday I remembered that she said a while ago that she liked australia and most pacific islands for that matter and also the fact that she took a photography class recently. therefore I bought her a book of panoramic views of australia. I haven't talked to her since so I don't know if she liked it or not.
if you give a bit more info, might be able to help you a bit more. if you don't know her well, you're mostly screwed. there's not much a guy can buy for a girl he doesn't know well.

You know, a potted plant is usually cheap, nice and something that'll last assuming she likes plants at all and doesn't kill it. Heck, if you really want to make sure it won't die, get one of those flowering cactiPeijen wrote:get laid? and no flowers, something that would lastAlan wrote:It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
They're supposed to last a little longer than six weeks. My sister got one from phipps conservatory sometime in college from some guy and she brought it home. I think it's still alive and I think it bloomed twice, although I don't think it ever will again.Dwindlehop wrote:I bought Amber a potted orchid earlier. They live off air and water, remember. Plus, they're attractive and fairly unusual. We enjoyed it. They last about six weeks.
