Got into a puzzle conversation at work, and just felt like dropping a simple one here to see how it would be received 8)
  • Mary is 24 years old.
  • Mary is twice as old as Jane was when Mary was as old as Jane is now.
How old is Jane?

Are they moving at relativistic velocities? Which planet's orbit are we using to define years? Do they have access to a time machine? Are either one a dog?

(btw, 18 is correct, but none of you showed your work! fail!)
