oops, doom
Shuttle driver ran a red light today, nearly got in an accident. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. That'll wake you up.
Re: oops, doom
I hope you made sure that the driver at least gets reprimanded...Dwindlehop wrote:Shuttle driver ran a red light today, nearly got in an accident. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. That'll wake you up.

Mmm. I could, I guess. Seemed like an honest mistake, though. She just didn't see it. In her defense, she braked well before the light, but a shuttle bus was not meant to stop on a dime. We actually stopped halfway through the light, which stopped traffic, so she went ahead and ran the light to clear the intersection.
In other news, none of the computers in the lab that I use were infected with blaster. Two of the ones I don't use, however, got infected with a variant because of stupid patch programs. IT was scanning our network traffic, noticed something suspicious, and shut down the port connecting our machines to the network. Now I can't unlock any of my processors, because that's a network-dependent action.

And by stupid patch programs, I mean
Code: Select all
if(service pack 1 installed)
patch;
else
nop;
