Anybody here have Netflix?

We're not currently scraping the bottom of the barrel, but we have pretty much seen all our first batch of ideas. Currently looking for recommendations.

My recommendation is get Transformers if you haven't seen it recently. So awesome. With Casey Kasim!

Do not get Oldboy, under any circumstances. That was disturbing.

We've seen the Asian movies with large American releases, for the most part, and we own House of the Flying Daggers and Hero. Also, we like British comedy (are there people who don't?) and own Monty Python, Snatch, and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. The Full Monty is good, as is Trainspotting (not actually comedy, but funny sometimes). In addition, a subtitled movie needs to have lots of action or Amber loses interest.

Notable awesomes and oks include:

• God of Cookery (fairly awesome)
  The King of Comedy (pretty good)
  From Beijing With Love (decent)
  Shaolin Soccer (rather awesome)
  Kung Fu Hustle (pretty good)

I also really like some of the films by Takashi Miike. But they tend to be over-the-top disturbingly hilarious. Some people should not watch them after eating, and others should not watch them at all.

  Dead or Alive (sucks until the last 5 minutes)

And of course there's always the original Japanese version of Shall We Dance?. I haven't seen the Richard Queer one, but I assume it sucks. The internet tells me there's also a 1937 film by the same name, but it seems to have an entirely different plotline.

You could also try I Heart Huckabees if you haven't seen it. One of those weird existential movies. It's moderately funny. Many CMU people seem to absolutely adore it.

I don't really dig on Stephen Chow.
