Today I received two calls at the office that were blatantly wrong.

Caller ID flagged the second call as from a McKinnon, Paul, area code 435. I cross-referrenced the location to Utah, Logan ( area code locator ).

On a whim, I decided to question the second caller and discovered she was trying to order coal from Eric Ester. Apparently, her boss asked her to order the coal from a business card in her very hand. She was shocked when I replied I'm not in Wyoming (area code 307).

Long story short, it seems a coal salesman has my office phone number on their business card. Joy!

From now on you should answer your phone as follows.

"Hello, Vinny's Coal, your one-stop shop for coal and coal-related paraphanalia--now with expanded service in Wyoming and Utah... No, Eric's out today, but I can take your order... Yes, we can supply that; I'll just need your credit card information..."

Even if they don't fall for it, at least it will screw with your coworkers' minds if they overhear.
