My CMU laptop bag is wearing out and I'm getting a new laptop next week. Thus, I am in the market for a new bag.

I'm thinking of getting a backpack like this one, since the damn laptop I'm getting will weigh more than six pounds. However, I am open to suggestions. Anyone have suggestions or advice?

I second the laptop bookbag. I had to carry an 8lb. laptop all day in a backpack for the majority of last week. My back was only hurting once during that time, whereas an over the shoulder strap would have been much different.

Oh, and we were walking an average of about 3 hrs all those days so it's not like I didn't use it much.

JanSport has a few laptop backpacks... That's where I got mine. They make a bunch more now than they did back when I got mine.
