FFXI need it's own forum?

Basically, there are a bunch of you playing FFXI now and there are tons of posts/topics being generated about it and will be for a long while. I was thinking that it's got enough volume/mass/potential to warrant its own forum..

The way of the forum can go the way of the thread. The reason for forums is a grouping/hierarchy of threads, and I think that should extend to forums as well. Why shouldn't there be a grouping/hierarchy of forums? huh huh HUH?

I think you skipped on something there. That didn't quite parse.

phpBB doesn't have forum hierarchy. You can have categories, which simply define a grouping. You couldn't, for instance, have a sub forum of Games that is Final Fantasy XI. Certain forums (Invision?) do have that feature, but phpBB is not one of them.

Yeah, got distracted while typing the previous post. It's fixed now.

Clearly, this is a problem with phpBB. Oh well. We can still put something like FFXI which already has a massive number of threads and will have a lot more to come, into its own forum.

It's not realy necessary because the Game forum is basically an FFXI forum or the time being heheh

I'm going to wait until the new year to decide what to do about this. For now, we'll leave it as is. If people are still playing and posting in two months' time, I'll do what is necessary.
