speaking hex

how do you personally pronounce the following? There is no right answer. I'm just curious.

0x10
0x40
0x1000

I say

Twelve
one zero
sixty four
One thousand hex, or one zero zero zero

This is not consistent. Why not 4k instead of one zero zero? Why not ten hex or sixteen? But it is what I say.

what about 0x1C?

I just read the digits off and say hex either before or after reading it only when the base could be unclear.

Although depending on the circumstance, I might say one thousand hex or one thousand
