war of worlds, *spoiler*

Post by Peijen »

My best line so far, "Who the hell planned their invasion? Bush?"

It's the same thing with Sign. You would think that if they are going to invaded a forgien world they would check up on these things. I mean really, they can have intergalatics travel but can't be bothered to do some enrionmental test?

They must not have taught evolution on their home planet or something.

Yep, this movie was bad. I highly recommend not paying money for it.

Thanks, good to know. I will not waste my $$ on this and I tend to watch mediocre movies!!

I haven't seen the movie, but I have read the book. In 19-whatever-the-fuck, it was spooky and imaginative to think that the Martians would be killed by microbes. In 2005, it's pretty lame. I expected them to rework that part of the movie since they changed so much else, but I guess not.

As far as Signs goes, why don't the aliens wear wetsuits? Also, why invade Earth in the first place? Imagine the equivalent for Earthlings: "Mars is devoid of water, freezing, covered in rust, and held by billions of sentient beings who will be seriously pissed off at us. Let's invade!" Maybe they have super terraforming technology to soak up all that nasty water. The WotW aliens shoulda dropped some penicillin on us or something.

Also, I like our plans for Earth defense. Water, bacteria, Bruce Willis, computer viruses. Oooh, our enemies should be scared now!

Hey, that was our defense in Independence Day too! We had Will Smith instead of Bruce Willis though.

hrmmm... Will S... WilliS... now if only there were a conspiracy to link this too like "Bruce Willis and Will Smith are the same person" or "Will Smith is a clone gone wrong of Bruce Willis" or something...
