You could also get adventurous and ask the bartender to "put tequila and something else in a glass". I've gotten picky, though, and really prefer top...

I think he's been alternately lured by the rich lifestyle and the natural lifestyle. I occasionally run into him on various parts of the intar wubs.

Personally, I like to think I've been pretty consistent in regards to lifestyle choices.

I would agree that you want Bar::Update(const Foo&). I use my Update functions to mean "Update this object based on these parameters". With a function named "GenerateReport", I would probably return a Report object; whereas a function that modifies the report would use a different verb, as in Modify...

I'm getting the Nova mic slightly used for $13 this weekend. But then I need a mixer. I've been looking at the Alesis MultiMix 8 Firewire, which gives me 8 recording channels (4 mic + 2 stereo line), all sent to the computer individually (the USB version only sends the master stereo mix out). It see...

Wait, so you're, like, actually good at guitar and stuff? Neat! I bought a drum set on Thursday, because I needed to play it in the pep band at a Friday basketball game. 24 hours to learn to play set. It actually turned out just fine, with great improvement over the course of the game.

I use INCOMPLETE as my marker comment. Many programmers use TODO. As an overall goal for code cleanliness, which I apply to all of the languages I use, I try to be very good about making classes do exactly what you would expect them to do based on the name, and have the interface you would expect. A...
