Interesting, there are tickets for Hamilton available in SF according to the website... However, at $768 or $868 per ticket, I'm thinking that I won't be going...

Maybe you'll want to check out this staging of 1984 instead:

Haha, yeah I checked after I posted and the cheapest cheap seats were $565 here. Expensive seats up to $1400!

I'm gonna keep checking and see if they haven't significantly overestimated the public's willingness to pay.

The really have not here in SF.

There is a ticket lottery for 1 or 2 $10 tickets. Anyways, I know people who shouldn't be paying what they did for tickets, but did anyway. We were pretty much the first major production off Broadway though, so maybe demand will have died down by the time it gets to Portland...

Looks like StubHub prices are pretty much at or above the primary market prices, so no lack of demand.
