Only need Arthas and Uther to 5 this week.

Arthas seems like the best warrior to chase a bunch of low HP squishies with after winning a battle to ensure kills.

Uther I'm trying to play like an assasin and like the 8 mana per hit talent!

I'm tempted to spend cash on Leoric but I think I'm gonna get Stitches with gold. Johanna doesn't seem to fit our playstyle.

If Uther doesn't drive me insane I'll probably buy him, but I only have 11k gold. 2poor2play

Jonathan wrote:Sorry about letting your Uther get popped immediately, Alan. Diablo sucks until level 7, so Battle of the Eternals is always rough. I usually don't try to engage until I've got three or four dozen souls, unless somebody is super dumb.

I watched the replay of our perfect game (no friendly deaths) last night and I noticed the losing team was standing around in base some. This is something I see on a fair few replays of steamrolled teams. Just go soak!
I found Uther to have a very different playstyle to Rehgar and a lot harder to sustain a team with. Since his cooldowns take longer you have to be much more selective about when and who you heal, and in order to make the most of Uther you also have to be using your stun pretty actively as well as all his additional talents which gets confusing and probably requires some team coordination to make the most of. Rehgar you can kind of weave in and out of combat and heal a lot more liberally. It's also fun to take feral lunge when you have a second support and have that bit of burst damage. I think right now he is clearly the top healer.

Right now I have like 5k gold. Debating saving up for Kael'Thas or just getting Tychus. I like both those heroes and Tychus is so much cheaper. I guess the other option is Valla but I enjoy playing Tychus more.

Maybe I'll give Jaina another try now that I have more experience and hold off on KT. I was pretty terrible at her early on and haven't touched her for like a month.

A couple of my friends are dipping their toes in.

Vinny, is it ok if I invite them onto your mumble?

It is kinda funny how I expect a hero to play and how they actually play - espeically heros/classes I played in the original Blizzard game like Diablo/WoW. Like Uther.. I never played a Paladin healer in WoW, but played with them for about 8 years, and the skills they picked (flash heal, heavy heal, HoJ, bubble) were exactly the skills I expected him to have as a hero. But all the Diablo 3 heroes they just pick 3 totally random skills to use that aren't really considered their "signature" skills and make them set in stone. I've played plenty of demon hunters, and making Strafe the ultimate is pretty laughable in terms of D3 power. Diablo's skills were done pretty well since he was a boss with only 5 attacks anyways hah.

Still have 40k gold, wish I could buy the starter bundle (raynor, muradin, malf, charger warhorse) for 10k gold! It's "on sale" for $5 and comes with a free 7 day stimpack! But still don't wanna spend real $$ :x

Cool, thanks! If you see Androk around that's my friend; you may have met him at my wedding. He was the big blond guy.

Looking forward to being able to play Zagara again this week. I'll probably try Chen and Tyrael if I get a chance.

I spent more time trying to learn Kerrigan's combo (it's W first, then E) and am still pretty fail. So, basically, there's no Assassin I can play. Still need to try the Butcher and Valla! I will probably eventually pick up some specialists who can do hero damage?

Excellent, only one hero to level this week (Tyreal)
Week of Tuesday, July 28, 2015:
Malfurion
Valla
Tyrael
Zagara
Chen
Tyrande (Available after you reach player level 12)
Illidan (Available after you reach player level 15)
and get to die with Illidan again. He's actually the funnest hero to die with I think!

I think I finally have the hang of Jaina. What I wasn't doing before was opening with Q. Applying chill from long range is key for landing and making the most of her other abilities. You also have to be pretty aggressive when you have everything off cooldown, and play a lot more conservatively otherwise. So playing her is pretty fast-paced, moving in and out of combat to apply a ton of damage.

For this week the only new hero I have interest in trying is Tyrael. I'm still looking for a tank that I enjoy playing.

Asians like Tyreal while whites like Muradin and Johanna! Sterotypes!

I do like Tyreal as well, party shield and a movement speed buffs!

Illidan is fun to die with!

Gotta get Zagara, though.

Tyrael, I dunno. I think I might just spend cash on Leoric.

It is surprising to me how many specialists are in the common Hero League comps. Two specialist comps are quite common. Four specialist comps are apparently fairly successful!

For QM, you mean? HL is a tie between Lili and Uther.

This journalist thinks Rehgar, Brightwing, Malfurion, and Lili are all equally best QM support.

Behold! My first 'bg' ever.

On a co-op game.

That we won.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3rGIW ... sp=sharing

Friendly team is me as Malfurion, my friends as Tyrael & Valla, and a Lili and a Sonya. Map is Garden of Terror.

We have a comfortable lead in XP and objectives for the first half of the game. Normal co-op game, in other words.

Given our comp, we don't have the dps to wipe the enemy team. We get in a team fight in the bottom lane around 15 minutes in. We get a kill or two and chase back to their structures. Their dead come back. I ping for retreat and my friends and I move to take mercs. This pisses the Lili off. Lili wanted to wipe that enemy team.

We get a pile of mercs and then night falls again. Just before 20 minutes, we spawn a terror, but the enemy is attacking our core. Sonya goes off by herself to take terror and push core. Lili follows but my friends and I defend core; the terror kills the shields but nothing else. Were we wrong to defend core?

Game ends around 31 minutes with the Lili just spitting mad. Sonya was evidently unhappy too, I guess.

Exemplary bad game? Textbook bad calls to teach the youth in ages yet to come? I watched the replay and would have made the exact same calls in the exact same way if I played it again. Am I bad at this game?

Hah. I've lost my fair share of vs AI games, enough that I prefer to play with AI vs AI when I'm just grinding daily games or XP. Just queue with my 50% XP buff account (who has 40k G!). Leave the game with my main account and rejoin before the game is over! Suiciding into the enemy levels them up so when you do rejoin you're at a disadvantage so the game drags on for more XP, or just throw the game for faster dailies.

Oh and never defned your core vs AI, if they're at your core before you're at theirs just YOLO it up! No bonus XP for winning vs AI. Win statistics be damned!

Lost a couple AI games this week. Once my keyboard wasn't working!

The hotlogs indicate I lost 2/3 of my games when I QM as Malfurion. I thought he was one of my better heroes! Oh, well.

I bought Zagara and Anub'barak. I like beetle build!
