From a MIT EE/CS Professor.
What else should matter to the young male applicant? How about girls? The 17-year-old boy with 1600s on his SATs probably hasn't had time to become captain of the football team and do the other things that appeal to high school babes. Why then subject oneself to four more years of rejection and frustration by attending a college where girls are in short supply? Fifty-seven percent of bachelor's degrees are awarded to women in the U.S. Why not choose a school where women are at least 57 percent of the students? Remember that if 40 girls pair up with 40 boys that leaves 17 single girls for every 3 single guys!
Sure tell me that NOW!$!$#@ I wish they would've told me that while I was visiting CMU

Yeah, these girls sure learned their lesson: never do anything nice for anyone or else you'll be sued. Fucking tort lawyers and fucking people who think suing is the first and only solution to any problem.

I mean come on, the families offered to pay her medical bills, why the fuck did she have to sue them?

Can society continue to produce people who want to be "child free" or is this not an evolutionarily stable strategy (like abstinence cults of yore)?

20 Questions to a Better Relationship
Specific Quiz Link
Quiz List
Got distracted...
eXpressive: 5/10
Practical: 10/10
Physical: 3/10
Giver: 4/10

You are a RPIT--Reserved Practical Intellectual Taker. This makes you a Love Geek.

Heh heh -- you love geek! You are weirdly sexy. It doesn't take people a long time to get to know you, but people *think* it takes a long time, because you are as cool and regulated after a year as you are on a first meeting. You don't tend to date casually -- you just suddenly find yourself in long term relationships.

Your approach to conflict is your greatest asset -- it complements almost every other type. You don't express yourself or your feelings in dramatic terms, but you will speak up to those who do. You are generally calm, but capable of ramping up, and you don't give up until the issue is resolved -- this means even the hottest temper or coolest conflict-avoider can feel comfortable pursuing their satisfaction with you. And you don't hold a grudge -- you get through it, and it's done. You rock.

Sure, you like the sex. And you communicate with your partner well, so you're good at it. But it's not something you would make jokes about or bring up in polite company (not that you don't appreciate that kind of humor). You're no prude, but that's just not your style.

You'd make an excellent parent.

You enjoy food and can be a ravenous eater. A good cook will get your attention quickly.

Of the 192899 people who have taken this quiz, 5.4 % are this type.

eXpressive: 4/10
Practical: 8/10
Physical: 8/10
Giver: 10/10

You are a RPYG--Reserved Practical Physical Giver. This makes you a 1950s Parent.

You are relentlessly patient, loving, generous and devoted. You are unflappable. If on some rare occasion you do raise your voice or say a swear word in anger, anyone around to hear it will remember it (and think it was funny). At the same time, you're very cute and charming, and even if you don't catch someone's eye at the beginning of the night you'll surely have their attention by the end.

Your calm, conservative nature conceals a passionate (and sexy!) heart.

You can have trouble bringing up problems, but your approach to conflict is calm and even-handed. The problem can be is that you are so busy worrying about your partner's satisfaction that you don't ensure your own. This can build up over time and make you restless. Despite your sexual nature, you are more likely to cheat emotionally than physically.

You tend to work out your frustrations in the bedroom. Depending on your partner, this can be an excellent strategy. You would be a great candidate to balance out an XSYT, but not a good match for an unappreciative RPYT.

You have an odd, ritualized vice that doesn't suit the rest of your persona -- like smoking a certain brand of cigarettes or drinking a certain kind of wine.

Of the 193084 people who have taken this quiz, 4.8 % are this type.
Ha, or something

Things begin to take a turn for the strange when we are introduced to a man who posted an ad looking for a 270-pound woman to date. He reads his ad on camera, and his description of himself could not be less flattering: He lives at home, he leaves the toilet seat up, he's on welfare and he has three dead ex-wives.

Yet somehow, he says, people don't believe his posting. Instead, he says he's received endless messages from young, petite women, and that makes him none too happy.
Obviously, the single amongst you should immediately rush to post on craigslist looking for 270-pound women.

Nope. Completely different. It's so different it's hard to believe you're both human males.

"Three young, attractive teachers, all accused of sexual misconduct," Syler sums it up.

NPR: New Anime Series Come to DVD ( link )
The audio link on the site is WAX format.

Although his voice is monotone (and mispronounces some names), he does summarize two very good series; Samurai Champloo and Full Metal Alchemist.

Samurai Champloo is currently on its second season in Japan. Directed by Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop), it's a great mix of high-quality animation, various music styles, and solid interesting plot. Like it's predecessor, Cowboy Bebop, this series is stylish and episodic (a few 2 parters).

Full Metal Alchemist (FMA) has already finished it's two year run in Japan and has a movie slated to be released in the near future. FMA is a high-budget (bling bling) anime, sponsored by BONES and Square-Enix, among others. The sharp and vivid animation, plus big name bands, as well as a PS2 RPG game should be no surprise. The story is a more typical epic, spanning across 51 episodes and featuring a much larger cast of characters.
