Answers to the question "What do you believe is true even though you cannot prove it?"

Daved Gelernter, Ray Kurzweil, Sam Harris, and Freeman Dyson have the most interesting responses, I think. I don't agree with what Dyson says, though. His statement is (probably) not formally nonprovable, which is what Gödel was talking about, but is rather just difficult to prove or disprove, but I still think it's an interesting statement.

Yeah, you haven't heard about it? It's been out for about six months, maybe more. It's an ok game, based on my evaluation of the demo.

Donkey Punch!

He's getting his own show for more money on MSNBC, etc so its not like they fired him or Stweart "won". Unless Crossfire dying is a victory. Which i guess it is.

Humans and Sparks
http://amasci.com/emotor/zapped.html
The simplest cure: before touching a doorknob, a car door, etc., first touch it with a metal car key. The fiercely hot spark will blast the tip of the metal key rather than blasting your sensitive fingertip, and it will painlessly discharge your body's charge. (Grip your keys firmly so no spark appears between the keys and your skin.)
Holy shit! This works!

Currently building four computers; antec has earned my ire by wrapping their 3700amb cases in a fucking white cloth-like electric death trap! Luckily, this web site saved me after 3 VERY painful shocks (replace key with philips screwdriver). Damn things must've built up charge during shipping.

Please excuse my language -_-

Edit: More on practical static electricity here:
