It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Ah, session ID, how I love thee.

Regarding the Aphex Twin video, I can vouch that Bob showed it to me personally several years ago. It may still be on Khak's hard drive.

Here's a link which I enjoy checking out once in a while. There are no photographs, but it still may not be safe for work. The stories are consistently well-written and often contain intriguingly graphic descriptions.

The most ridiculous press release I've ever seen.

Recently, students at Hamilton College in New York turned the pastime into a sport by forming a varsity streaking team and traveling to rival schools to cavort in the buff.
I did a summer program at Hamilton College. I didn't see any nudity though

Here's a link for anyone inclined to check out the hamilton steaking team. I think it's safe to assume that at least some of this site is NSFW

Two new domains have been approved. These domains don't even make sense. No self-respecting company is going to use <company>.jobs instead of jobs.<company>.com COMpany, get it? It should have a .com I'm not saying that the initial organization of the internet was a good or smart one, but trying to change it now is going to be incredibly painful. I think the same problems also apply to the new .mobi domain. Companies could just as easily do mobi.<company>.com I think in the end, this is just a ploy to make companies sign up for multiple domain names and ultimately more cash for ICANN.

You're thinking along the lines of "the website to get a job at [specific company]". I read a few nouns from the article (not even a full sentence!), and I saw it mentioned that .jobs would be for human resources orgs or something. This would make sense for companies whose primary function is to match workers with jobs. Monster.com could be a prime candidate for this. Also Mary-Margaret, which is a game industry head hunter. I'm sure there are many others. And it provides an easy re-routing option. Maybe Monster would want to register "tech.jobs" as a redirect, for example. It's certainly inappropriate for a single company's job offerings, but not as a gateway to many companies' jobs.

These memory regions may be difficult to obtain after the system has been running for a long time because the space for each large page must be contiguous, but the memory may have become fragmented.
Sweet. Quick, someone write a memory defragmenter!

Awww, come on, just write your own. Of course, you'll likely be implementing peijen's solution...
