no wonder you wanted me to call you my daddy!
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I've also read studies that say they've found that second sons are more likely to be gay than firstborn sons.

Comedy Central's promo for "Drawn Together"

I can't get enough of this clip. I've watched, probably, six or seven times already.

With screens based on this or other emerging technologies, large high-res screens are likely going to become a reality in the next decade. Graphics cards are starting to get powerful enough to render really high resolutions in real time. I could see games becoming more immersive with screens that wrap around the player and allow them to use peripheral vision instead of just tunnel vision. This is likely more of a FPS feature at first, but still cool.

Tunnel vision is why every single head mounted display currently available sucks balls. They're all tiny flat LCD panels, and they use a lens to make them big enough to see. Consequently, dim tunnel vision, and the whole experience blows. If they absolutely have to be flat, then something that actually fills the frame of a standard pair of glasses is required. And if I remember correctly, OLED displays should be able to curve, which means that wraparound Oakley HMDs would be possible. That's what we need for some really good immersion. I don't really care what the resolution is. Standard SVGA is fine with me, as long as it fills enough of my vision to be convincing.

The way is open for yet another potentially "shocking" competitor in the broadband provider market now. Who is it you ask? Why, it's your local power company. That's right folks, it's broadband over power lines.
