If you're thinking that your tv is old and you might want an new display, but are on the fence, maybe stay there a bit longer. Seems like momentum is finally starting to gather for 10-bit HDR displays. If you play your bluray's from computer, you'll also need a new graphics card to support HDCP 2.2 which will allow you to play HDR blurays. Heck, you'll need a new blu-ray player if you don't use a computer which will be a fun marketing exercise I'm sure to get the average consumer to understand the difference between bluray and the new bluray.
