Stereoscopic 3d Desktop Displays

Post by quantus »

I've got a Radeon 6950 and want to play with seeing games in stereoscopic 3d so I've started figuring out what displays are even compatible here:

http://www.amd.com/us/products/technolo ... dware.aspx

I'm still in the early stages of figuring out which displays are worth getting so any comments/experiences anyone here has would be appreciated...

One interesting tidbit I just learned:
* At this time, due to AMD Crossfire™ Technology incompatibility with AMD’s Quad Buffer, AMD Radeon™ HD 6990 graphics will not support stereoscopic 3D gaming with frame sequential displays using active shutter glasses.

My friend Erik has a TV. His is the only home 3d I have seen. Well, I did play with AMD's demos at their summit. I do not remember which displays they had. I will check my literature. ;)
