Kedia gave me the example of a high-end smartphone lasting up to 10 days without needing the user to manually shutdown all its more power hungry connectivity, while a tablet could last for up to 30 days in standby. Furthermore a smartphone could last four to five hours playing back high quality video with a tablet managing 10 - 12 hours. I don't have an iPhone... My crappy phone only needs to be charged once or twice a week.

I have to charge my droid every day. Also, I can't really use it continuously for any extended period of time otherwise it won't last a day.
