Excellent, succinct article arguing why copyright extension is bad.

Man, some people are so weird, there's nothing I can say. But I will attempt, anyway. Imagine if a singularly uninformed individual read some popular accounts of modern physics and attempted to regurgitate these theories for his readers. Now imagine if that individual also wanted to be a horse.

I didn't know people wanted to be horses so badly.

Sounds like the attack I suggested against an algorithm that some people in the internet security class were proposing. They wanted to use a 32-bit 1 to 1 hash and I pointed out to them that the entire hash could be pre-computed, sorted by result and stored on a hard-drive.... oops!

The family drove to Atlantic City, where the girls hung out on the Boardwalk as the parents gambled in a casino.
finite bitches, infinite dumb.

Mailinator

Post by Jonathan »

http://www.mailinator.com/mailinator/Faq.do

Probably deserves its own thread, but whatever. Simply fill out forms with a made-up mailinator address. No more spam! Not safe for anything which involves sending someone private data, but then, you don't want Mailinator for those kinds of email needs. Supersedes the junk Yahoo! address, in my opinion.

If you do "Then you are a stupid-head. That isn't what this is for"

Yes, I had to quote that just for using the phrase stupid-head.

Good CompUSA Deals

Post by VLSmooth »

Sigh, I should've left work earlier to check these out:

Good CompUSA Deals (flyer) (note, use digital interactive format to see these deals)

Better yet, you may be able to pricematch these straight prices (no rebate, etc) for 110% back at Best Buy and Circuit City.

I'll check tomorrow to hopefully get a good cheap progressive scan dvd player.

For Jason, who was looking for a 32" HDTV:

Samsung 32" DynaFlat HDTV Model TXM3296HF SKU#297851 Original $899.99 Blowout $699.88

Newer model than mine, and cheaper by $300... whee... (sigh). Pricematch and save $30 more.
