Broadcast Flag likely to be voted in this week. Outcome? No current DVD player will be able to play anything recorded with the Broadcast Flag enabled. Also, apparently this will reduce Internet file sharing of broadcast television.

yeesh, it's a good thing I wasn't in a plane flying over Canada or something or that would've been like 10 chest x-rays at once! Geez, if a class S-5 solar storm is generated, that 100 chest x-rays. I really don't appreciate it when the sun tries to flash cook me :(

Girls pummel man who exposed himself
PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (Reuters) -- A man described by authorities as a known sexual predator was chased through the streets of South Philadelphia by an angry crowd of Catholic high school girls, who kicked and punched him after he was tackled by neighbors, police said Friday.
Haha! In other news, violence is bad, yeah...

This is a pretty good forum. Nevermind the fact that it's in German, just click on the links to the things they're referring to. Some good ones are: This is very NSFW of course.

How to Make a Young Child Feel Loved.

"Son, we never wanted you. Lord knows we tried not to have kids. When we had you, I was so mad I sued the bastards who performed my vasectomy."

Every [locker] is empty – no other men being spa’d today. I am finally, I decide, conclusively and empirically, a sissy.
[Y]ou can tell by the softness of a man’s hands.’

And that’s it. The best and final judgment. Ines has proclaimed the truth: I am the sort of person who belongs in a day-spa. Loggers and sheet-rockers are better off scraping paws on the hips of lusty virgins and drinking scotch from chewed-out rocks; us laptop-aficionados, on the other hand (so to speak), need some nail work done.

Gordon Moore, calling it like it is. Fun to see projections made in 1975 held against actual historical data through the turn of the century. I don't know what the lecture that accompanied these slides was about, but I can imagine from the title: it's meant to be a warning to everyone in the semiconducter industry.

I wonder if it's possible to get a job Photoshopping "models". As part of your application, you could say "Here are all these pictures I made putting Britney Spears' head on someone else's body." They'd be sure to hire you. (Contains a Maxim photo.)
