For what it's worth, despite not being to access it right now (currently having issues with rdesktop), Mohtalim seems to have more traffic.
That's not taking context into consideration either, since most of our posts are pretty audience agnostic, as opposed to Poughkeepsie only. Of course, that makes sense since we're not geographically centralized.
However, their forum does trump us soundly in anime references. I could make more posts, but there seems to be a distinct lack of responses!
Btw, Otakon is this weekend and I'm debating on making a crazy 1-day Saturday trip. If anyone else is going, that may help influence my decision. Looking at the schedule ( pdf ), 5 Centimeters per Second in the 35mm theater and the panels are the main events I'd be interested in.

I prefer http://weblog.jayenashar.org/ for the weblog, http://bboard.jayenashar.org/ for the board. I redirect those links as the board moves around. (Since I'm no longer in NY, I xferred the board just recently.)quantus wrote:http://cdlei.dyndns.org:90/bboard/index.php
Do you guys have an rss feed?
Real men, maybe, but not real engineers. We're supposed to be lazy. We should be notified without checking. Besides, if it ain't broke, it ain't got enough features.

The real issue I had with the RSS feed is that there'd be nothing, and then there'd be ten pages full of making fun of Vinny. Plus, it broke the threading.
I implemented and discontinued the View new posts link for the same reasons. For heavy or low traffic boards, these things can serve some function, but I get the impression that even the most casual Mohtalim readers (Bob, Martin) pretty much read all the posts, even if it is less than once per month.

The nothing then ten pages of replies is probably because you are reporting "topic replies" in the details of the rss entry and your reader sees them as new entries when the count goes up. It's the combo of the two that caused problems for me, so I removed reporting the topic replies.
