Crickets?

I started playing, the combat feels smoother than DkS 1 or 2, closer to Demon's Souls but with the refinements you'd expect after 7 years of making these games.

There are some changes meant to be more friendly to new players, such as not being able to be invaded unless you've summoned a friendly phantom, and not being able to be invaded by players who've artificially kept their character level low while upgrading their weapons.

It's so worth trying out!

I haven't read any reviews yet. Is the combat still recognizably Dark Souls, or did they incorporate some of that Bloodborne pace?

I never played Bloodborne but from what I've read the pace does have similarities to Bloodborne (which is more similar to Demon's Souls from what I understand). More emphasis on rolling/dodging rather than turtling.

It is still recognizably Dark Souls though.

I concluded there is too much exploration for my taste.
