I logged in since you said you might show up.

Stu & I couldn't keep reps on Kitaro because we got jammed+neuted out. The dead frigs died too fast to broadcast. Otherwise, reps held.

ONI fleet spotted with a pair of Oneiroses. By the time we got 10j out to their location, they scrounged up another Oneiros. They had friendly eyes up and down their pipe. We engaged in their home constellation by jumping into them.

They dropped one Archon fairly quickly to keep their reps up. Once the Archon got on field, we put all DPS onto the Archon. After a few it seemed that his local tank was holding, so we dropped one of our own carriers to add fighter damage. They added another Archon, so we dropped supers. With supers on field, they reshipped into their BS fleet and added a third Archon. They had plenty of neuts in their BS comp, so they managed to keep our Guardian reps down long enough to zap our Ishtar (the triage carriers were dual/triple boxing and didn't react fast enough).

Thinking is that they attempted a batphone which never materialized. The BS never had any chance with our supers on the field. We cleaned up the field, carriered the loot out of system, and went home.

The crazy fight in QXW a couple years ago had 96% efficiency. This had more isk lost and 96.7% efficiency. :D

Yeah was hoping to join last night but fell asleep on the couch :P. Depending on how hung over I am may be on Sunday late afternoon or evening.

Alliance AAR has the youtube link, if you want fraps/comms. The tense bits where when we jumped in and when they started bringing BS on the field.

When we jumped in, I had my safety on, so figuring out how to fix that prevented me from setting up my cap chain. You can hear Stu yelling at me around 5:00. He pulled cap transfers away from me and so I started to cap out around 6:20 and yell at him. They had formed up off the gate and were pulling range almost from the start. At 6:50 I realized we were losing range on our friendlies and told Stu to change anchor to Cass so we could stay within range of the fight.

33:20 I let fleet know that the Guardian cap chain was broken and we were tackled. Triage helped us reform without losing a logi, but Kitaro slipped out from under us without full reps on him. I had him locked and reps cycling when he died as did Stu, but it was too late. Kit wasn't moving at the time of his death (didn't matter so much with the ONIs, but orbiting under large guns while in a cruiser does mitigate a fair amount of dps). I think I probably should have called the cap chain breaking a little early and identified their neut/jam ships.

Watching the replay, it is clear that dishonor drones were the cause of jams. The rook was killed quickly but I was still jammed. We got unlucky in our dice rolls.

Was travelling back toward Osmeden, got caught in k5 at the 8v gate. As soon as I uncloaked I was caught in a bubble, then webbed, then scrammed. I wasn't fast enough to escape bubble, and lost my pod too. Anything else I should've done in that situation?

Fit MWD. You'll never make it back to the gate without a MWD, or at least AF levels of EHP. AB only is a real low-sec only fit, or sit-on-a-gate-with-eyes fit.

It should be possible, with mwd fit, to overheat and escape from the Sabre unless you start really close. In that case, you turn on the mwd towards gate. You still get scram/web, but hopefully you have enough momentum to coast slowly into jump range.

Also, wait. Why would you go towards Osmeden? Don't go there. Never exit by PF-. It is always camped. In fact, I keep it on my system to Avoid list just so autopilot never routes me through there. Exit Syndicate via Vestouve.

Or Reblier. Conomette is usually camped, though, so don't bother that way.

Yeah, I think the whole venture was one of my poorer ideas so far. I didn't really have any set destination in mind and not having a MWD looks like a generally bad idea in nullsec.

If you are by yourself, I would go Vestouve -> Reblier, then back into Syndicate. FD- can be a trap for the unwary. That whole mess of multiply-linked systems in Syndicate is good for solo. Plenty of outs, plenty of stations. Residents can be engaged. The low sec path also puts you in space where the good kind of trouble abounds.

Be wary of heading into 97x or S-U pockets. The residents in those pockets can be pretty quick to organize a response fleet. Be wary of traversing Poitot (the only named system in Syndicate). It is a good place to catch frigates for the discerning camper.

Check Zack's latest kills. That guy has been putting the "solo is dead" meme to rest since he joined. Also check Black Helmet Man's kills. He just posted about a good 3v1 he had. With enough tactical retreating, you can turn a 3v1 into 3 separate encounters.

Do get on comms, even if you intend to solo. You never know when you will need to produce a rapid response fleet. Also, you can always easily ask, "is ship X engageable by ship Y?" if you are not certain.

ev0ke just moved into 3knk. I would not go there during German prime-time, but you seem to play pretty late. Probably after 0200 you can check it out, and escalate with allies easily if you manage to not die instantly.

We have a few corp bookmarks, but if you are in space and can't find a good target creating your own collection of pounces and safes will help you stay off random bubbles.

Heh. I made 200M isk off the Friday night fleet, after losses were reimbursed from the loots. Good things do occasionally happen to nice logi pilots. We had several carriers-load of loot.

I saw Black Helmet Man's post in the forum porn section, really impressive. I needed to be less comm shy, I just feel weird about talking.

On an unrelated note, we have a layover in Reykjavik on our way home from honeymooning, and are going to a spa. They quote their prices in Euros and ISK. I've got millions of ISK!
