Entirely optional.

Still working on my schedule. I'll let you know in a bit.

Your armor Firetail is woefully undertanked. SARII HP/s is very low. Regular reps/boosters are simply not powerful enough for PVP. Look at the time it takes for a SARII to provide a 400mm plate's worth of HP, and think about how fast that Breacher killed you. The Ancillary reps/boosters are pretty OK. Plates/extenders are also just swell. Particularly for lowsec solo/2 man, because you'll just dock and repair after a fight anyway.

Your shield Firetail is weird. The nanos/polycarb are not going to improve your time to death (via damage mitigation from the tracking) as much as real tank would increase your time to death. Also, web+scram is overkill in my opinion. That's only useful for trapping an unwilling noob ship or something from returning to gate. Any real enemy will shoot back, which means he can't jump. Drop the web and add more tank. Once you get some Vs in gunnery you'll want to balance your tank & gank more, but as a low SP char tank always wins.

I have this.
[Rupture, be pro]
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II

Tracking Enhancer II

I would like to get it blown up in lowsec someplace. You need to bring a good scram fit that can take a beating.

Firetails are hella cheaper than I remembered.

Turns out we have upgraded our clone vat capabilities since last I checked. You can get all the clones you need in STIM. It shouldn't be an issue. So don't delayed moving on that account.

Yeah both my Firetails died ridiculously fast. I chatted with the guy in the breacher afterward and he said the same thing about the armor rep and lack of tank, and suggested this fit, which vastly improves the EHP:
[Republic Fleet Firetail, Armor TD]
Gyrostabilizer II
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
200mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I

Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I, Tracking Speed Disruption Script
1MN Afterburner II
X5 Prototype Engine Enervator
J5b Phased Prototype Warp Scrambler I

150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S
Small Unstable Power Fluctuator I

Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Small Trimark Armor Pump I
Alternatively I could switch to shield and drop the web. Yeah Firetails come out to be about twice what a similarly fit Rifter costs. For a low sec roam with your Rupture how's this?
[Slasher, MSE AI]
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Gyrostabilizer II

1MN Afterburner II
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Medium Shield Extender II
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I

125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S
125mm Gatling AutoCannon II, EMP S
[empty high slot]

Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Core Defense Field Extender I
Small Core Defense Field Extender I

This is what I'm flying around in for the time being, what do you think? Including ammo cost me about $13 mil, compared to $21-23 or so for the Firetail. It was hard not to buy a Firetail, I just like how they look. Heh.
[Slasher, MSE TD Brawler]
Pseudoelectron Containment Field I
Gyrostabilizer II

1MN Afterburner II
Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I
Balmer Series Tracking Disruptor I, Tracking Speed Disruption Script
Medium Azeotropic Ward Salubrity I

150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S
150mm Light AutoCannon II, Republic Fleet EMP S
[empty high slot]

Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Small Core Defense Field Extender I
Small Core Defense Field Extender I
Also I dropped roles in E-UNI and applied to STIM. I asked in the stimulus channel if any recruitment officers were on and nobody answered, will try again tomorrow.

That fit is predicated on using your superior speed to dictate range. If you know where you have range superiority, then yeah, I guess that could work.

That's probably too late for me to start playing, but I'll let you know. I won't be playing this weekend due to a certain event that will be keeping me away from my computer 8)

Ha! Writing about this game is way more important than playing it, anyway.

For your tanky Slasher, what is the cap usage on that fit? Are you going to cap yourself out just running the AB+Invuln?

Some interesting stuff right here. In particular, that new Scythe Fleet Issue looks like something I might want to fly a lot. Fuck a Cynabal and money.

But probably the Omen Navy Issue will be the hull that gets me all my kills. Good lord is that going to be skirmishy with the right tank. Double LSE, MWD, Pulses, 3x Heat sink, 3x te, suitcase, maybe three dictors in gang, and light 'em up.

In general, I approve of what I have heard in Odyssey. T2 non-frigate hulls are just stupidly overpriced right now. If they do anything at all to bust up the tech cartel, that would be wonderful. If they don't, at least there's some navy ships that actually look pretty damn useful and have a reasonable price tag.

You need to post in the logistics thread.

"70k m3 Osmeden -> TXW"

Or whatever. Verr does not log in on his alt to check courier contracts until you post on the thread.

Ah. I think I may need to cancel that contract and put up a new one because I didn't unfit those ships.

Eh.

40k ain't that bad. Fit frigs are just small enough that no one really cares. We use a jf not a carrier for routine logistics. Unfit ships are more important for road trips when many millions of m3 are getting moved.

Change it if you get the time, but don't sweat it

More thoughts on the Odyssey ship changes, if you want to think about your training plan.
