Haven't been able to play much the past week and it's not looking good for this coming week either, and then it's time to get married and honeymoon!

So for the next 3 weeks, I'll be playing Skill-Training Online. I'll be pretty close to Battlecruisers V by the time I get back.

I know.

Good. It is literally the best skill, and that was before it was worth 4x SP.

In 2011, when CCP rolled out some controversial changes, the company summoned the CSM members to Reykjavík for an emergency meeting in an effort to stem a user backlash. “At the time, I had been dating a girl for only three weeks and was terrified,” says Joshua Goldshlag (Eve name: Two Step), a 35-year-old CSM member and computer programmer from Massachusetts. “I certainly did not want to mention that I had been elected as an Internet space politician.”

Verr is no longer doing logistics. Sounds like you probably did not have any outstanding contracts, but if you did this is a reminder to recover them and deal with the stuff with our new trucker.

I've been literally away the past two weekends, and I've been without internet at home since last week. Verizon is supposedly coming to fix it on Saturday...while I'm working this weekend. And then am going to be working/commuting from 7am-8-pm every day next week. Kind of sucks. I've been stuck playing Crusader Kings II which I downloaded a long time ago and is like the only offline game I have right now.

I had to bring my laptop to work to set my skill queue this week. Heh.

http://evenews24.com/2013/07/08/pandemi ... s-awoxd-2/ Things blow up real good. (Remember I was in PL for a while.)

You decide against playing this game?

Probably, though I haven't officially quit yet. I'm still logging in to train skills, but I never seem to have a several hour long block of time to set aside to actually play it. My new job has much longer hours than my old one, and I have to do a lot of studying because I'm seeing a lot of new stuff. Plus my board exam is coming up in September.

The clearest explanation yet why Eve isn't fun any more. Cheap ships are fast on the tactical scale but incredibly slow on the strategic scale. To be able to play without spending all an hour flying somewhere, you need extremely expensive capital ships. To afford to wage capital warfare, you need a large income. To defend your large income, you need to be part of a large coalition. There's only two coalitions left in the game now. Everyone else has been assimilated or has been ground down. The more pilots in the fight (local peaked over 4,000 characters in the last big Eve fight) the less the game is, well, a game.

End of an era: STIM is packing it up and joining Provi-bloc.

"The null-sec 15 man fleet meta that Rote is best known for is dead or dying." This is why I have been playing less and less over the past two years. The activities I found entertaining in the game were getting harder and harder to do.

I might check this game out again when they:
1. Revamp the overview.
2. Add new parts of known space.
Both of those are confirmed changes CCP is making, so there's some potential to generate a meta I find interesting again. No guarantees, of course.

In other news, Eve: thrilling, boring.
