Gencon
Gencon
As long as I'm posting up a storm, I might as well mention that I'm going to Gencon, mother of all gaming conferences. It used to be in Milwaukee which was easily drivable from Madison, but now it is in Indianapolis so I'm going to share a hotel room with some other fucks. Sadly, my advisor thinks that we have a meeting during Gencon. I will have to rectify this somehow.

Board games, RPGS, that sort of stuff. I haven't been so I can't comment too fully. I'll be there for the board type games. Also you can paint miniatures for free.Dwindlehop wrote: Define "gaming".

I could be wrong, but...
I think this convention features a variety of games from Dungeons & Dragons, to Collectible Card Games (CCGs) and tabletop games like Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy (a la Games Workshop). These are the ones with really expensive pewter models, scatter dice, and damage templates.
And now for random info:
DnD, 'nuff said.
CCGs, hmm... the only ones I've personally played are magic the gathering, star trek, and galactic empires (at least the only ones that come to mind).
For tabletop games I've only played Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer Quest, Necromunda, and made virtual Warhammer Epic Armies (before epic was discontinued).
