Mohtalim Restaurants

Post by VLSmooth »

Purpose: To suggest/recommend/review restaurants relevant to our interests.

I can vouch/recommend the following restaurants near Fairfax (eaten at and enjoyed multiple times):
CHIPOTLE!!oneoneone, Pho Bistro, Vit Goel Tofu, Jason's Deli, Cantina D' Italia, Sakura, Buffalo Wing Factory, Famous Dave's, Cheesecake Factory, Coastal Flats, Uncle Julio's Rio Grande, Seoul House, Bonefish Greenbriar, Potbelly, Five Guys

I recently researched the following restaurants near Arlington (they seemed promising, but I've never been to them, composite map):
  • Pho 75 (cheap, good pho)
1721 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22209
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)
  • Ray's Hell Burger (cheap, burgers, could be packed)
1725 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22209
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)
  • Minh's (cheap, vietnamese, more variety than pho)
2500 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA 22201
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)
  • The Italian Store (cheap, italian, pizza)
3123 Lee Highway, Arlington, VA 22201
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)
  • Jaleo (moderate, spanish/portuguese, tapas/small plates)
    2250 A Crystal Dr., Arlington, VA 22202
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)
  • Tallula Restaurant (expensive, supposedly good brunch, might be the place Jason took us?)
2761 Washington Blvd, Arlington, VA 22201
    (map) (yelp) (washingtonian)

For the random one night stay in Portland, I recommend Oba or Higgins. If you have more time, Portland is a great place for foodies so I have a huge list of recommendations which I'm not going to transcribe. All I do is eat out and try new restaurants.

In Seattle, Canlis is an excellent place for a special occasion.

In Hood River, I like the Big Horse Brew Pub.
