new phone decision: Android v. iOS

Post by Jonathan »

Hm.

So apparently Android has a very poor selection of games, but it has flash. iOS has lots of native games but no flash. Does flash on your phone mean "browser" games are playable on Android?

On my sister's older phone, the answer was nah, not really, but I wonder about some of these Tegra2 phones.

How do you like the atrix? I heard motorola blur causes the phone to crash randomly and the battery life is fairly poor. We have a few in the office for one of our projects (one of the few phones that has a fingerprint reader apparently). Also according to one of my co-workers, there's a huge design flaw where if you drain the battery too much you won't be able to charge the battery while it's in the phone. Apparently, once you plug in to charge, the phone needs to power up/boot to a certain point before it'll start charging but since there's not enough power to boot, it'll turn off and repeat this process indefinitely :?

I bought it after reading Anandtech's take.

Anand measured it having rather good battery life under load.

I have no complaints. I haven't encountered any of the issues you have mentioned.
