I just got a nice engraved wood and aluminum plaque thanking me "For Outstanding Job In Delivering Detailed Simulator (pwn) And Help Solve Critical uarch Tradeoffs During TR"... Q2 2009.

Two year turnaround? Sheesh.

Yeah, they do that here as well (for all thousand people who worked on a project), but also individual plaques to recognize outstanding work, too.

I received an award once that was so generically phrased I couldn't initially figure out what it was for. The presenter and other recipients didn't know either. I ended up figuring it out because I had only worked with the two other recipients together once. The three of us had stayed late one night over a year before to fix a problem that was threatening a delivery.

Best part, the award was presented as part of the company's "Timely Award Program".
