Netflixed it a couple months ago. Surprisingly bad. Still enjoyable, but on the verge of being too bad for so-bad-it's-good watching. The Japanese played a much larger role in the movie than I had anticipated. I read the piece in Wired recently about Asylum movies; apparently they sell a lot to Japanese distributors so a few Japanese faces in a movie helps that market out.

Yeah that Wired article was how I found out about it. I was expecting something more along the lines of Be Kind Rewind.

The fight scenes are unintentionally hilarious, but the intentionally hilarious character interaction is pretty dull. It's hard to beat the famous shark scene, though.

I was hoping Lorenzo didn't get a single line in the trailer, but one slipped in right before the end.
