What streaming music services, if any, do people use?
I finally tried
Pandora a few days ago, and I have to say it rocks. Simple interface + music discovery is great. I also gave
Last.fm a whirl, but the lack of a pause button was extremely annoying.
My Pandora profile is here as a heads up:

Oh snap, I can (and just did) pause
last.fm!
The
foobar2000 component
foo_lastfm_radio allows pausing by caching songs. This is especially awesome since I've used fb2k for years and have it customized (global keyboard shortcuts ftw).

i use Pandora every once in a while. When I was more into music I used to just look at pitchfork every once in a while and download stuff based on their reviews.

I use it at work when I dont feel like listening to my lame ipod libray. Actually wrote down some random songs to download from its picks.

My only complaint about pandora is the 40hour monthly limit and the fact you can't "choose" a particular song to add/play. My favorite now is
http://www.grooveshark.com. I'm not sure how they are operating legally but it's pretty awesome. It has a simple interface that allows you to add/queue any song you find and plays with no random radio ads! Their library is pretty extensive (heck they even have random anime songs

) but their search algo does need some refining...
