LifeHack Against Web BS

Post by skanks »

Typical Problem: I sit down at the computer to do something useful, but I get sucked into doing the same old bullshit. I find the Blocksite addon for Firefox works well for my work computer, but for home I'd like to have a bit more functionality. I want to be able to access my stupid bullshit at home, I just don't want to get sucked into the bullshit when I'm working on something else. If I could have Blocksite addon but be able specify windows during the evenings and weekends when I can read news, blogs, etc, unmolested then I think that would be ideal.

Does anybody know of such a tool? I can probably fake it using the hosts file and chron jobs but that would not be ideal.

I am using Leechblock. It has the features you desire.

This is exactly the software I was looking for. I knew it was out there. Thanks.
