I agree. I'm just annoyed with the usually buying statistics that wall street uses. It's useless for the DC/LA/NY market space since it caps out at 500k. The median here is 500k, not the top.

It's nice to see that the rest of the market is very similar however with a median around 200k.

It annoys me now how a lot of magazines like this pull together a lot of bullshit facts to scare the crap out of people.

I guess if a real statistician conducted a true study on this, the result would be too boring to write up in a magazine, but still ...

I usually only refactor the sections that need to be more efficient or the sections that I need to build more stuff on top of. I try to leave everything else alone, since it doesn't make business sense to go back unless it's broken.
