Fucking Canada.
At least you're not in the part of Texas where the forecast was 50" of rain within a few days?

You're complaining as if Canada was protesting Trump by setting itself on fire.

Once CloudFlare said no, they were pretty much done for. They're likely the only ones who'd be able to survive a massive DDoS.

Re: just going to stop reading Reddit

Some companies, like Reddit, have been content to let their platforms be essentially free-fire zones where almost all political beliefs, no matter how racist or misogynist, are welcome. https://newrepublic.com/article/144386/can-tech-stand-white-supremacy This quote is the truth. Re: daily awesome

Engineer Engineers are highly sought after and regularly earn six-figure salaries for performing work that, in all reality, you're not smart enough to do. While you may claim to be more interested in career fields requiring creativity and intuition, the fact is that you just don't have the abilitie...

Re: Double red blood cell donation

You should fill a couple bags for yourself and freeze them, then transfuse yourself a few months later before a long ride and see how much faster you are! Blood doping for the win! (And then the disqualification!) Or, you should just regularly get blood from children (or I guess 18 y/o's if you're ...

Re: Pittsburgh is the new Portland

It snows in Portland I'm pretty sure... The SF Bay area is running out of places to gentrify really. Pretty soon, we'll end up gentrifying the grapes of Napa, Sonoma and Livermore :-\ Heck, to some extent that's already happening as some of the rich people think it'd be great to have their own viney...

Huh, Alan's YTD elevation gain nearly has him to outer space! And it would've only taken him about 6.5 days of continuous riding to get up that 100k foot ramp :-p

Re: Hamilton US tour

I'm gonna keep checking and see if they haven't significantly overestimated the public's willingness to pay. The really have not here in SF. There is a ticket lottery for 1 or 2 $10 tickets. Anyways, I know people who shouldn't be paying what they did for tickets, but did anyway. We were pretty muc...

Interesting, there are tickets for Hamilton available in SF according to the website... However, at $768 or $868 per ticket, I'm thinking that I won't be going... “Attention in the water: ... You are paddleboarding next to approximately 15 great white sharks.” — the Orange County Sheriff’s Department delivered that warning this week to a group of paddleboarders from a helicopter. That led to the group making it back to shore unharmed and a viral video. See: T...

If you do lots of flights or high altitude hikes/touring then you can get blurry vision from lasik, but not sure about this new method. I'm not thrilled about blurry vision on planes. Also, if your vision changes as you get older, can you keep getting it done, or what's the limit and what are the ad...

I often find that enough WinOS cruft and game cruft builds up in a year or so that having only 256GB isn't enough. One major culprit on windows machines is itunes if you have an iphone... It want's to put backups in AppData and the workaround I use now rather than messing with the registry is to use...

I was going to make some comment about how you haven't grown up yet since you're still living in an apartment, but you're a hipster in Portland, so it's kinda redundant.
